We are constantly trying to find ways to make our training more time efficient and effective. Over the years, we have modified our training calendar and schedule based upon our experiences.

Laser Screed Training Class Outline

Day One

• Welcome/Introduction
• General overview of Laser Screed
• Transmitter, Receivers, Grade Stick, Machine Positioning, Dry Runs
• Job site situations & setting Transmitter in buildings

Day Two

• Elevation Control System, Basic theory of components & Troubleshooting
• Hands on troubleshooting (outside)
• Dry runs (in sand if possible)
• Driving derby, Dry Runs, Review Machine Elevation System
• Set machine to factory specs

Day Three

• Self Level system theory operation, basic theory of components
• SLS Hands-on trouble shooting
• Screed maintenance
• Job Site situations
• Final trouble shooting, Hands on set up guide test
• Demo slope setup & screeding procedures

3-D Profiler In-house Training Class Outline

Day One

• Introduction to 3-D system
• Review of all Site Survey components and their functions
• Review Site Planning Sheet, and do a small Site Survey to demonstrate procedures
• Trainees complete Site Planning Sheet Packet
• Using Profile Maker, with multiple computers
• Review all functions of Profile Maker

Day Two

• Changing channels and using scanner with radio communication
• Review Site Survey by surveying an area outside (weather permitting)
• Presentation: taking points, screeding application, pictures of screeds in concrete
• Lay out driveway
• Create Mesh using Profile Maker, attach components to machine and "screed" driveway
• Discuss theory of operation for Self Leveling System and demonstrate proper set up procedure to ensure head is set properly for 3-D Paving
• Use Profile Maker

Day Three

• Computer... transferring files, deleting files, shortcuts, what to do if it locks up
• Multiple Site Surveys
• Use Profile Maker
• Profile Maker test... create surfaces and mesh for Go Cart node file
• Survey equipment troubleshooting
• Complete 3-D process with no problems

Day Four

• Written Test
• Troubleshooting on machine
• Lay out a parking lot
• Create Mesh and set up screed for Paving
• Review all concepts of 3-D to ensure full understanding of system
• Wrap up
