The all-new Quick GradeSet System is incredibly fast and as easy as reading a benchmark. It also only requires 1 person to establish grade or fine tune the programmable height receivers.
The simple intuitive and 4 ergonomically located controls is all that is needed to operate the Laser Screed machine. The operator never takes their hands off the handlebars thus eliminating any fumbling or looking for switches in order to operate the screed.
The S-485 eliminates raking and screeding operations to just 1 person riding on a machine. The powerful Honda engine, new 50/50 weight distribution, and 4 wheel drive has increased pulling power thus eliminating the need for additional rakers. This saves a number of people off the crew totally eliminates manual effort while significantly increasing return on investment.
Out of the box, the S-485 is capable of raking or screeding flat, single, or dual slope slabs with a dual sloping laser. Connect a Somero 3-D Profiler System® and enjoy the added benefit of multi-pitched slabs, multiple slopes to drains, concrete parking lots, and concrete overlays.
To further compliment the improved pulling power, the S-485 exclusively offers 3 operator controlled height Quick Pass settings. These settings can be either above or below grade or any combination thereof depending on raking or screeding utilization.
The innovative head design easily attaches within seconds with just 1 person. The auger-less design allows the operator to screed in any direction including 360 degrees around a post, column, or drain. This design is capable of 5000 sq. ft. per hour with FL numbers exceeding industry averages and far exceeding most specifications.
The S-485 Laser Screed machine weighs in at just 1107 lbs. making it suitable for most slab-on grade and slab-on-deck pours. With optional tire configurations, the S-485 is capable of running on chaired mesh, chaired rebar either single or dual mat, over in-floor heat tubing, or freezer slabs including ice rinks.
Most of the patented technology of our larger screeds is also found on the S-485 Laser Screed model. Just some of the exclusive features found on our head include automatic head self-level, soft landing, and in motion vibrator soft start.
